    The Nashua boys and girls faced Dodson on Saturday, Jan. 2, and both teams prevailed over their opponent. In the first game of the night, the Lady Porcupines defeated the Lady Coyotes with a final score of 52-30. The game was relatively quiet until the fourth quarter, when the Nashua girls exploded offensively and put 26 points on the board.     The North Country Mavericks traveled to Nashua Thursday night for two games against the Porcupines. The varsity girls started off the evening just a little after 6 p.m. The Lady Mavs undoubtedly dominated the entire contest, but the scrappy Lady Porcupines didn't go down without a fight.     The Lustre Christian Lions traveled to Poplar to face the Indians for their first game of the new year on Tuesday, Jan. 5. The Lady Lions took to the court in the first game of the night, and if not for the slow start in the first quarter of the game, the contest may have had a different outcome. Scoring only nine points in the first quarter compared to Poplar's 23 points, Lustre was just never able to bounce back.     The Lady Scotties played against the Poplar Indians in their first conference game of the season at Scottie Gymnasium on Saturday.     Tessa Duncan was the 8/9 year old winner of the Elk's Hoop Shoot for Wallowa County in Oregon this year. Tessa is the 8-year old daughter of Rob and Tamarah Duncan of Wallowa, Ore. Tamarah was an OHS graduate in 1996 and also was an outstanding Viking basketball player so Tessa, who resembles her mother, comes by it naturally.     The high school Ice Dawgs hosted the Flathead Flames Friday, Dec. 18 and Saturday, Dec. 19. From the looks of the official scoresheets, a hockey game broke out during the fight. By the end of two games, Glasgow left the ice with 19 total penalties, 63 penalty minutes served, and two skaters ejected from the game.     Another away game and another win for the Lady Scotties. Defeating the class A Sidney Eagles with a score of 51-39, the Scotties increased their win-loss record to 3-1. The Lady Eagles outscored the Scotties in the first quarter, but once Glasgow claimed the lead, they didn't let go.     U14 defender, Klaire Krumwiede plans to deny a Dickinson Outlaw during a November game at the Valley Event Center.     Deep into December, the Lady Ice Dawgs are just about halfway through hockey season. This past weekend they picked up four games in Havre. The purpose of those games was mostly for the girls to gain eligibility to play in the Montana state tournament in February.     After a 15-point loss to the Sidney Eagles in a game that stayed close until the last five minutes, the Glasgow Scottie boys finally found their rhythm and picked up a dominant win over the North Country Mavericks at home.     The Scottie wrestlers were in Ft. Benton and Great Falls for three days of competitive wrestling this past weekend. Glasgow came away from the Ft. Benton mixer with a record of 12-8 overall.     Glasgow hosted their 20th annual wrestling invitational this weekend at the Glasgow High School. Eight teams descended on the school for six rounds of wrestling.
