The Glasgow Scotties continued their march through the conference with a decisive victory over the Wildcats in Harlem this past weekend. The Scotties dominated the Wildcats with a 68-6 victory. In a fast paced, fast energy game on Sept. 12, the Lady Scotties crushed the Malta M-ettes in their first home game of the season, 25-15, 25-12, 25-6. The Scottie boys and girls cross country teams traveled to Billings for the Billings Invitational on Aug. 30. The meet marked the opening competition for the Scotties with the boys placing 16 overall for varsity and 14 overall for JV. The girls varsity ran only three competitors and did not receive a team score, but the JV girls came in at 13 overall. A group of superheros and their sidekicks swooped into Sunnyside on Sept. 1 to conquer the course in the Superhero golf tournament. For nine holes of scramble play, the young heroes and their adult sidekicks battled it out on the links. It was a dreary, overcast and misty day Aug. 17 as 43 triathletes of all ages and from all around the region gathered to test their mettle against three long-distance events. Last year the Scottie Wrestling Camp set a new record, they reached a total attendance of nearly 120 wrestlers. This year from Aug. 5 through 7, 2019, the camp drew numbers in that same arena coming in at 119 wrestlers in attendance. The success of the camp is its draw for elite level wrestlers.
