Red and white. Black and blue. Those are the colors one might normally associate with a Glasgow Ice Dawgs hockey game. In this case, rather than bruises (though there were probably a fair amount of those also) the colors were for the jerseys worn by the four different lines who were on the ice Nov. 24 for a scrimmage. The scrimmage gave head coach Pat Braaten a chance to see his players in action. In a normal year, the high school boys team would begin their season at the Sidney tournament....

The team traveled to Manhattan this past weekend to take on the Tigers in the semi final game to determine who would move on to the final game of the season. At the final buzzer, Manhattan came out on top with a score of 43-18. The Scotties struggled against the Tigers, who came into the game fully prepared to shut down Glasgow's run game. Revenge is a dish best served cold, or in the cold? Glasgow football players had expressed a desire for revenge against Columbus after the Cougars destroyed the Scotties' playoff hopes last year. They served it up Nov. 7 at Scottie Field in a 46-0 rout. Under an overcast sky promising snow, the Scotties created their own blizzard on the field -- call it red and whiteout conditions -- blowing past the Cougars' defense on a second-quarter scoring streak that led to a running clock in the third....

The Glasgow Scottie boys and girls cross country teams had a pretty good week overall. We all placed really good.” In fact the Scotties claimed eight of the top nine slots for the boys with only 10 total runners at the meet. T...
The Glasgow Scotties traveled to Malta this past Friday night, Oct. 9, to take on the Mustangs. Glasgow went into the game with the intention of ending a three-year drought against their Hi-Line rivals, but such was not to be the case. An early touchdown catch by Dawson Boland was called back on a Glasgow penalty and that seemed to set the tone for the Scotties, who struggled for the remainder of the game. The Mustangs took control of the game and came out on top, 36-14. Glasgow found...
