    In what was their best game of the season so far, the Scotties faced the Mavericks in a non-conference game on Jan. 20, and finished with a 79-75 win in double overtime. It was Glasgow's annual superhero night, and the Scotties earned the win with super plays and heroic effort. The Mavericks were up 54-51 with just seconds remaining in the game.     Alex Fransen, a senior at Glasgow High School, has committed to play football for the Dickinson Blue Hawks. During his football career at GHS, Fransen has been recognized as an outstanding athlete time and time again.     The Scottie boys earned a good win vs. Malta on Jan. 12, but fell just short of besting Wolf Point the following night. Junior Cade Myrick came to play, and scored double digits in both contests - 21 points vs. Malta and 16 points vs. Wolf Point. Senior Alex Fransen contributed 11 points both nights, and Kobe Sibley sunk 11 in the contest vs. Wolf Point.     The Lady Scotties couldn't muster up enough offense to defeat the M-Ettes in a Jan. 12 conference game, losing to Malta at home 57-36.     The Glasgow Squirt Ice Dawgs traveled to Sidney for a three-day tournament Dec. 15-17. Despite some minor obstacles, the Squirts came home with third-place hardware. According to coach Carin Barnett, because of the way the brackets were set up, Glasgow was the only team that had to play an extra game.     The U14 Ice Dawgs hosted Miles City and Bozeman at the Valley Event Center in three games Dec. 8, 9 and 10.
