    The Glasgow Scottie boys and girls cross country teams had a pretty good week overall. After dominating a small field of competitors in Frazer, the Scotties claimed a first-place boys finish and a second-place girls finish in Plentywood against a deeper and faster pool of competitors.     The Glasgow Scotties traveled to Malta this past Friday night, Oct. 9, to take on the Mustangs. Glasgow went into the game with the intention of ending a three-year drought against their Hi-Line rivals, but such was not to be the case.     The Scottie Girls cross country team placed fourth in Miles City on Oct. 3 as the boys’ team claimed a fifth-place finish facing their largest and most competitive meet so far this season.     The Glasgow Cross Country teams traveled to Culbertson on Sept. 26 for the Culbertson Invitational. Both the girls and boys teams came home with second place finishes.     Montana’s watercraft inspectors intercepted the 27th mussel-fouled vessel for the year. On Aug. 29, vacationers traveling from Michigan to Glacier National Park with a kayak strapped on their van stopped at the Nashua inspection station where inspectors found a zebra mussel attached to the kayak’s hull.
