The Scottie Girls cross country team placed fourth in Miles City on Oct. 3 as the boys’ team claimed a fifth-place finish facing their largest and most competitive meet so far this season. For both teams, much of the competition were from Class A schools. Sunnyside Golf and Country Club’s Men’s League 2020 season closed out last week, on Sept. 21, with the final round of golf being played to determine this year’s championship team and proud recipient of the Prestigious Squires Cup. Taking home top honors and bragging rights this year was D&G Sports & Western’s team, comprised of Todd Truscott, Boyd Sinclair, Levi Sugg and Jim McColly. The Glasgow Cross Country teams traveled to Culbertson on Sept. 26 for the Culbertson Invitational. Both the girls and boys teams came home with second place finishes. Both teams of Glasgow Scottie Harriers picked up the number one spot at the Poplar Invitational on Sept. 5. The wins were made possible by the fact that the top five runners for the boys all placed in the top 16 with four of the five in the top nine. Montana’s watercraft inspectors intercepted the 27th mussel-fouled vessel for the year. On Aug. 29, vacationers traveling from Michigan to Glacier National Park with a kayak strapped on their van stopped at the Nashua inspection station where inspectors found a zebra mussel attached to the kayak’s hull.
