The Glasgow Scottie football team traveled to Fairfield to take on the Eagles for their final regular season game of the 2020 season on Oct. 23. In a tight back-and-forth game played in the falling snow, the Eagles came out on top 14-8. The Scotties ended the season with a 7-2 overall record, 4-2 in the Northern B conference. After dominating a small field of competitors in Frazer, the Scotties claimed a first-place boys finish and a second-place girls finish in Plentywood against a deeper and faster pool of competitors. Sunnyside Golf and Country Club’s Men’s League 2020 season closed out last week, on Sept. 21, with the final round of golf being played to determine this year’s championship team and proud recipient of the Prestigious Squires Cup. Taking home top honors and bragging rights this year was D&G Sports & Western’s team, comprised of Todd Truscott, Boyd Sinclair, Levi Sugg and Jim McColly. The Glasgow Cross Country teams traveled to Culbertson on Sept. 26 for the Culbertson Invitational. Both the girls and boys teams came home with second place finishes. Montana’s watercraft inspectors intercepted the 27th mussel-fouled vessel for the year. On Aug. 29, vacationers traveling from Michigan to Glacier National Park with a kayak strapped on their van stopped at the Nashua inspection station where inspectors found a zebra mussel attached to the kayak’s hull.
