    The Scottie volleyball team defeated the Poplar Indians Sept. 19 in five sets before falling in three to the Sidney Eagles Sept. 21, both matches at home. Glasgow won their first set against Poplar handily 25-14 on a Mayzie Yoakam spike. The Indians played better in the second game as Glasgow lost 22-25.     The Scottie volleyball team notched two conference wins this past week with victories over Malta and Harlem. Malta took Glasgow to five sets and extra points, but the Scotties earned the win in front of the home crowd Sept. 12. The following day, Glasgow downed Harlem in three sets on the road.     The Glasgow Scotties girls cross country team scored 42 points at the Havre Invitational Sept. 14 for second place while the boys team placed fourth with 81 points. “We didn’t have the breakout week I was hoping for on Saturday in Havre, but I still saw many of our kids compete very well! “The girls finished second, just 4 points behind Havre, and 10 points ahead of Poplar.     The Glasgow Scottie football team extended their win streak to three this past week with a 20-13 road win over Columbus. Glasgow holds a 3-0 record heading into Homecoming against Manhattan this weekend. Quarterback Khye Gamas started the scoring action early in the second quarter with a 49 yard run to take a 6-0 lead over the Cougars. The Scotties doubled their score 5 minutes later on another Gamas run from 14 yards out.
