Sunnyside Golf and Country Club held their annual club championship tournament in a slightly different format for the summer of 2021. Taking into account the kick off of school fall sports and the coronavirus, the tournament was spread out over two weeks, allowing golfers plenty of time to complete their rounds. Glasgow Middle School's girls cross country team placed all five of its scorers in the top 16 positions to take the team title at its home meet last Saturday at Sullivan Park. The Scottie girls were paced by individual champion Kimber Dulaney. The 8th grader ran the 1.5-mile course in 10:03, a time that would have placed her among the top boys runners. The Glasgow Middle School volleyball teams traveled to Wolf Point the past weekend for games on Sept. 11. The eighth grade teams both played Scobey. The Nashua Porcupines volleyball team hosted their first match this past Friday, taking on the Culbertson Cowgirls in front of the Nashua crowd. The Glasgow Scottie football team bounced back in a big way Saturday, defeating Roundup 44-7 in an offensive rout. Last year’s tournament was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic, as were all the big tournaments which hurt the team according to head coach Somer Hoerster.
