  • Barnett Wins Maah Daah Hey 25 Mile

    Colter Barnett, of Fort Peck, raced away with the top slot in the Maah Daah Hey 100 MTB Race in the 25 mile competition. The 17-year-old placed first overall in the race with well over 100 competitors. He also won in the male 13-19 category. Barnett finished the race in 2:24:54.07, more than four minutes ahead of his nearest competition.     The Glasgow Kiwanis Thunder Swim Team traveled to Columbia Falls fro the 2021 State Swim meet July 31 and Aug. 1. The team returned with one state champion and a number of swimmers who cracked the top five. Combined, the boys and girls earned 249 points and placed ninth out of the 20 teams at the meet.     The annual Mow ‘Em Short golf tournament was held on Saturday at Sunnyside Golf and Country Club. Golfers from around the region hit the links for three rounds of golf, playing a single round each of scramble, best ball and alternate shot play.     HELENA – Several angling restrictions on rivers in southwest, north-central and south-central Montana go into effect today due to warming temperatures and low flows.     The Glasgow Kiwanis Thunder traveled to Lewistown this past weekend for the 2021 Eastern Divisional swim meet. After two days of intense competition, the Thunder will be sending 28 swimmers on to the state swim meet in Columbia Falls this Saturday and Sunday, July 31 and Aug. 1.
