    The Frazer Bearcubs traveled to Daniels County on Sept. 9 to compete in the Scobey Invitational. The girls teams were well represented with the high school team placing eighth with 71 points and the junior high girls placing sixth after scoring 54 points.     Both Glasgow cross country teams came home with first place finishes from the Poplar Invitational on Sept. 4. The boys team claimed first place with 33 points beating out 12 other schools for the top slot. They were followed by Wolf Point, 72; Sidney, 125; Plentywood, 139; Scobey, 142; Culbertson, 146 and Poplar, 169. The girls team beat out 17 schools to take first place with 112 points.     The Glasgow Scottie football team bounced back in a big way Saturday, defeating Roundup 44-7 in an offensive rout. Co-captain Austin Hughes told the Courier, "The key for our success in Roundup was staying patient, calm, and executing the play."     Glasgow's volleyball team, after a golden start at the Choteau Invitational, stumbled this past weekend. They lost to Plentywood at home on Friday then traveled to Chinook where they finished in second place.     The Frazer Bearcubs took four high school girls to the Poplar Invitational on Sept. 4 while the junior high team boasted 10 girls and three boys.     The Glasgow volleyball team started their 2021 season in the traditional way – at the Choteau Invitational. Last year’s tournament was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic, as were all the big tournaments which hurt the team according to head coach Somer Hoerster.     The North Country Mavericks kicked off their 2021 volleyball season in Malta on Aug. 28. The team had two pool play matches and three tournament bracket matches, finishing in fourth place overall. In pool play, the Mavericks lost to Plentywood 26-24 and defeated Poplar 25-8.
