The Mavericks defeated the Scotties 45-23 in Glasgow on Thursday and downed the Spartans 52-17 in Scobey Friday night.     North Country traveled to Glasgow for a non-conference game Thursday. After an even first half, the Mavericks fell to the Scotties 55-27. Friday they traveled to Scobey to play a strong Spartans team where they fell 64-31. The Lustre Christian boys exploded with 32 points in the first eight minutes of play, going on to win 75-13. Frazer was held to 6 points in the first and 7 in the second quarter.     In their only game of the week after the holiday break, the Lustre Christian Lions girls basketball team defeated the visiting Frazer Bearcubs Jan. 8.     The Frazer girls basketball team hit a tough week of play in their return to the court, dropping three games this past week. Their first loss came at the hands of the Indians, 87-25, on Tuesday in Poplar. Friday they fell 50-33 to the Porcupines in Nashua and a Saturday road trip to Lustre found the Bearcubs on the wrong side of a 51-22 final score.     The Glasgow Speech and Drama ran into some rough road conditions on their way to the Forsyth meet but not even that could slow down the Scotties. The team jumped right into competition and sent six of their seven team members to the finals.
