The Valley County Sheriff’s Office offers our sincere condolences to the family of Raymond Morin. We lost a member of our community, and we grieve together with the family. Dear Editor, Electronic identification (EID) tags. The latest rule touted by Brazilian packers and our government will require EID tags for intact cattle over 18 months of age crossing state lines starting in November 2024. Most of the tags come from China, and a system to read the tags is not in place. Although the tags can't be routinely read, they are supposed to help with disease traceability. Helping with one of the Blood Draws several weeks ago brought to mind Blood Draws in the past. I have a notion that several of you will remember drawings in the past when the Blood Mobile came to your community.
