On Aug. 15, Governor Greg Gianforte joined members of his Property Tax Task Force for a meeting at the State Capitol. At the meeting, the governor received their recommendations to reform the property tax system and reduce the burden of property taxes on Montanans, and he encouraged Montana homeowners to secure their property tax rebates today, the first day to claim rebates. New statistics from the Montana Department of Transportation show that ridership on Cape Air Airlines has increased this year compared to 2023. The number of passengers using Cape Air in Glasgow has increased 4.3 percent compared to last year. In 2024 through the month of June, there were 2,603 passengers compared to 2,496 last year.
