    The Valley County Community Pool Campaign has officially reached the $2 million mark, due to recent donations made during the All-Class Reunion, which took place June 16 through 19.     Frances Mahon Deaconess Hospital (FMDH) Board has announced the appointment of Nickolas "Nick" Dirkes as the new chief executive officer, after an extensive nationwide search lead by COORS Leadership Capital, based out of North Carolina.     For the Courier The Hinsdale School Board is asking the community for funds to replace the 1968 school boiler and the high school ventilation system. At this time federal and local funds are being used to replace the elementary ventilation system. According to the school, for 54 years, with diligent maintenance and pride, the boiler and ventilation system was operational, however now it is becoming obsolete.     In the primary election on June 7 Valley County totaled 2,186 votes cast out of 4,859 registered voters, a 44 percent voter turnout with a majority being case absentee.
