An EF-2 tornado directly hit the small community of Glentana July 18 causing extensive damage to property but, to the relief of residents, community members emerged unscathed. On, July 15, at around 6:30 p.m., the Glasgow Police Department was notified of a serious disturbance between multiple people on Jet Drive, stemming from a parking complaint. The Hinsdale School District held a special election on July 12 asking voters to pass a Hinsdale Building Reserve fund for the high school in the amount of $805,975 and to pass an Elementary Building Reserve Fund in the amount of $332,561. These funds were asked of the voters so the district could replace the 1968 school boiler and the high school ventilation system. Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks Region 6 game wardens are seeking any information regarding a mule deer buck that was shot and left to waste about 15 miles southwest of Opheim, on the junction of Kerr Road and Golden Valley Road in Valley County. The Opheim High School Class of 1978 funded a new "Welcome to Opheim, Home of the Vikings" sign. During the 2022 Opheim Reunion, the sign that stands at the south end of Opheim, was officially dedicated in memory of classmates Debbie Delay Anderson, Lori Dahl Pyle, Darlene Fauth Boothe and Laura Pehan Borges.
