    After a month of fundraising for Glasgow Fire and Long Run Fire in Valley County, Bank of Glasgow presented the funds to the two different entities on Sept. 15.     The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) has reselected Cape Air to provide Essential Air Service (EAS) at five eastern Montana communities: Glasgow, Glendive, Havre, Sidney, and Wolf Point.     Beginning Monday, Oct. 2, the KGGW WSR-88D operated by NOAA’s National Weather Service in Glasgow will be down for approximately two weeks for an important upgrade. Technicians will refurbish and replace the pedestal, one of the most critical components of the radar, which is necessary for antenna rotation and positioning to capture data in all directions.     The Glasgow School District is at risk of having to cut more bus routes due to the bus driver shortage. In the past three years, the District has gone from nine route drivers, down to just four regular drivers. This mirrors the nationwide bus driver shortage. Starting Sept. 18, the Saint Marie route will be down to one very full route, driven by the Transportation Coordinator/Mechanic.
