    With the recent occurrence of an Amber Alert there have been several concerns that alerts did not reach mobile phones across several counties in northeast Montana.     As has been widely reported, Wolf Point’s Maci Lilley was found late Sunday morning by Roosevelt County Undersheriff Corey Reum. The 4-year old girl was kidnapped from a playground near her home on Friday night, prompting a statewide Amber Alert and coordinated search efforts involving local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies.     Nick Murnion, Valley County attorney, has been appointed by Governor Steve Bullock to serve the 16th Judicial District. Prior to serving Valley County, he was the county attorney in Garfield County and a private practice attorney.     The Glasgow Police Department and Valley County Sheriff Office’s jointly conducted an alcohol compliance check throughout Valley County Feb. 12-13. The first round of checks has been completed. There were 32 checks in total. Four business’s employees outside of city limits were cited and five within city limits. Fines for these employees can be up to $500 and if underage sales continue, the state can investigate possibly confiscate licenses.     On Feb. 10, the Glasgow School Board met in special session to appoint a replacement for the position vacated by Nick Dirkes in December. The board, by law, is required to fill the position within 60 days. Two letters of interest were submitted, from Mike Kaiser and James Rickley.
