  • Nov. 6 Election Results: Tom Boyer Is The New Valley County Sheriff

    Tom Boyer received 2,243 votes against Joe Horn's 1,459 votes for Valley County Sheriff. The unofficial count had Boyer receiving 2,270 votes, however after verifying the write-in, the number of votes changed to 2,243. Mary Armstrong took the Valley County Commissioner race with 1,927 votes versus Gilbert Mogan's 1,821 votes. Taryn Stebleton will be the new Clerk and Recorder with 2,276 votes versus Ruth Dowell's 1,254 votes.     Truckloads of pipes to be used in the construction of TransCanada's Keystone XL Pipeline have been traveling across Northeast Montana from Glendive to staging areas along the pipelines' future route in northern Phillips and Valley County.
