    Tasha Morehouse-Mix has been reappointed as the Glasgow City Court judge. The term, approved by the Glasgow City Council during their regular Jan. 33 meeting, will last for four years. Morehouse-Mix succeeded former Judge Lynn Gilbert, who retired after years of service. Morehouse-Mix presided over her first hearing after being appointed to the position by the Glasgow City Council July 6. The City Court handles misdemeanor cases.     In 2021, the Valley County Community Foundation donated $33,473 for several improvements. Over the past 21 years, VCCF has donated $366,587 in grants and scholarships. “This year’s grants paid for all or part of each of these improvements,” said Doris Leader, VCCF chair. “With thanks to the many, many generous donors to the VCCF endowment, they became a reality.     Valley County residents employed at minimum wage jobs will see an increase in their paychecks this month. As of Jan. 1, Montana’s Minimum Wage has increased to $9.20, pursuant to §39-3-409, Montana Code Annotated. Montana statute requires the minimum wage be adjusted annually based on changes in inflation as measured by the Consumer Price Index all Urban Consumers (CPI-U) from August of the year in which the calculation is made, and is rounded to the nearest $0.05.     The Valley County Sheriff’s Office has received $10,460 in grant funding to obtain and train new canine units to crack down on illegal drugs being trafficked into Montana. The grant was announced recently by Montana Attorney General Austin Knudsen, following 18 initial $10,000 grants approved by a selection committee in October, with five new agencies receiving funding and 14 receiving additional funding.
