    The City of Glasgow at a work session on Aug. 13, gave preliminary approval to a general fund budget and set assessments for the new fiscal year. The general fund budget was set at $3,318,112. The general fund budget funds services such as the Glasgow Police Department, Glasgow Fire Department and the Glasgow Recreation Department. The council gave preliminary approval to a tax cut for city of Glasgow property taxpayers.     New statistics from the Montana Department of Transportation show that ridership on Cape Air Airlines has increased this year compared to 2023. The number of passengers using Cape Air in Glasgow has increased 4.3 percent compared to last year. In 2024 through the month of June, there were 2,603 passengers compared to 2,496 last year.
