Beaver Branch Road reopened to vehicle traffic June 30, after Bureau of Land Management (BLM) staff from the Glasgow Field Office replaced a culvert damaged by spring runoff. A small section of the road near Grub Dam and Reservoir in Valley County was temporarily closed on June 26 to facilitate the culvert replacement work. A Boy Scout Camporee and Cub Scout Day Camp was held recently at the Scout Park near Fort Peck June 23-25 under direction of the Buffalo Plains District of the Montana Council BSA with professional scouter Dave Snyder, of Lewistown,, organized by Patty Scanlan. Saturday May 27, we will again be placing flags on all veterans’ grave sites at the Highland Cemetery in Glasgow recognizing their service to our country. We will meet across from the Veteran’s Monument just up from the entrance at 9 a.m. Gary Fast will again escort the flags to the cemetery in his restored Army Jeep and trailer.
