    The 14th Annual Festival of Trees for Relay of Life will be happening this weekend at the Glasgow Elks Club. A prime rib dinner and auction will take place Friday, Nov. 16, from 6 to 8 p.m., with Brian Austin, of Austin Sound, doing the auctioneering. Dinner will consist of prime rib, vegetable, potato, salad, roll and dessert.   • Battle of The Bulge: From A Montana Perspective

    Two of Montana’s many veterans, Randy LeCocq and myself, will be telling the story of the Battle of the Bulge, from a Montana perspective, at Glasgow City-County Library on Saturday, Nov. 17, between 1 and 3 p.m. The Battle of the Bulge cost the lives of more than 25,000 U.S. soldiers, as they defeated the last German strategic offensive of World War II.     St Raphael’s Parish will host a harvest dinner this coming Sunday, Oct. 28, at 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the Parish Center in Glasgow. The meal will feature homemade turkey and all the trimmings with pies for dessert.     Country school were a vital part of our homesteading history. Come join us at the Valley County Pioneer Museum at 2 p.m., on Thursday, Oct. 11, for a presentation by the Montana Preservation Alliance volunteers, Martha Vogt and Jim Greene. They will be showing schools they have been documented in other counties along the Hi-Line over the last few years for the Big Sky Schoolhouse Survey.
