The Glasgow Chamber has announced a change to the 2019 Christmas Stroll schedule for Saturday, Dec. 7. After visiting Prairie Ridge Village, Valley Cinema and the downtown area, Santa will make a stop at Jennifer Ray’s Photography Studio, 233 4th St. S., next to the Soroptimist Thrift Store. Starting at 3:30 p.m. until 4:50 p.m., the community is welcome to walk into the studio and get their picture taken. To incentivize keeping the dollar local, the Glasgow Chamber, with participation of local businesses, is putting on a Local Little Christmas promotion. Local shoppers are asked to save their receipts for a chance to win prize baskets that include certificates from participating merchants and Chamber Big Bucks. For every $50 spent at participating businesses, one entry will be placed into the giveaway. The American Red Cross urges eligible donors to be the lifeline for patients in need this holiday season by making an appointment to give blood. The 29th Annual Thanksgiving Day Dinner will be held Thursday, Nov. 28, at Glasgow Senior Citizens Center, located at 328 4th Street South. Last year 200 folks enjoyed the dinner, and the center hopes to exceed that number this coming year. Over the past 28 years approximately 4,800 people have enjoyed the event.
