  • 2019 Christmas Stroll Schedule Change

    The Glasgow Chamber has announced a change to the 2019 Christmas Stroll schedule for Saturday, Dec. 7. After visiting Prairie Ridge Village, Valley Cinema and the downtown area, Santa will make a stop at Jennifer Ray’s Photography Studio, 233 4th St. S., next to the Soroptimist Thrift Store. Starting at 3:30 p.m. until 4:50 p.m., the community is welcome to walk into the studio and get their picture taken.   • Block of Bucks Collection and Shopping Is This Week

    Volunteers will be collecting donations for the Block of Bucks on Friday, Dec. 6, beginning at 7 a.m. The collection boxes will be at the corners of D&G and the U.S. Post Office. They will be in operation until 5 p.m. All money collected is used to purchase warm clothing for children, infant to 17 years. Soroptimists, with the assistance of volunteers, oversee the shopping spree on Saturday, Dec. 7 Volunteers are needed to help on this day as well.   • Local Little Christmas Promotion Keeps Dollars Local

    To incentivize keeping the dollar local, the Glasgow Chamber, with participation of local businesses, is putting on a Local Little Christmas promotion. Local shoppers are asked to save their receipts for a chance to win prize baskets that include certificates from participating merchants and Chamber Big Bucks. For every $50 spent at participating businesses, one entry will be placed into the giveaway.     The 29th Annual Thanksgiving Day Dinner will be held Thursday, Nov. 28, at Glasgow Senior Citizens Center, located at 328 4th Street South.
