The Montana VA Health Care System (MTVAHCS) is providing free flu shots at its Glasgow VA clinic for Veterans enrolled in VA healthcare at two drive-thru flu clinics this week. Veterans can receive a flu shot this Thursday, Oct. 8, from 1 to 3 p.m. and on Friday, Oct. 9, from 8:30-10:30 a.m. To receive a flu shot, all Veterans will remain in their vehicle and staff will come to them. The Montana Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) is seeking public comment and holding a remote public hearing on the tentative determination to issue a Water Quality Certification for the Keystone XL Pipeline project in eastern Montana under section 401 of the Clean Water Act. The Glasgow School District have started distributing their summer food program meals for children. Meals will be distributed at the respective school, with one breakfast and one lunch each day distributed to enrolled Glasgow School District students on a free basis, regardless of free/reduced/paid status. Volunteer road cyclists are taking to roads across Montana in a new scientific effort that can help save wildlife and human lives by reducing wildlife-vehicle collisions. Adventure Scientists, a Montana non-profit that recruits outdoor adventurers to collect scientific data, is deploying hundreds of road cyclists to record wildlife sightings and roadkill across 11,000 miles of Montana roads.
