FOR THE COURIER After a year of pause, we are thrilled to announce we are putting on the FMDH Foundation’s golf tournament, our biggest fundraiser of the year! The date for this year’s tournament has been set for Sunday, June 13, 2021 at Sunnyside Golf and Country Club in Glasgow, Mont. The entrants must be over the age of 18. The tournament will be a straight scramble. There will be a maximum of 28 - 4 person teams this year. The entry fee is $300.00 per team. GHS Student Council, Albertsons, Ruthie Moran and the VFW will be hosting an Indian Taco Night on Thursday, May 13th. 500 orders of Ruthie’s famous Indian Tacos will be made “to go” as a fundraiser to purchase Christmas wreaths for the military graves at Highland Cemetery. The cost is $5 per taco. Their goal is to raise $2000 for the wreaths, cords to secure them to the grave markers and for storage containers. Serving will start at 5:00 p.m. behind the VFW Club. Join Valley County Clean Up Day, April 23 as individuals, businesses, groups and organizations! Come together to make lasting impacts throughout the surrounding communities! The Chamber has donated two $50 Chamber Big Bucks certificates as prizes for clean-up participants. Other donated items are cases of water, gloves, trash bags and cookies. As we navigate out of the pandemic, Fort Peck Summer Theatre is overjoyed that the 2021 Performing Arts Camp is on track to continue as scheduled. As the company proceeds with cautious but optimistic plans for the 2021 season, the annual camp promises to again be a summer highlight. Jacob Etchart grew up spending summers at Fort Peck Lake with much of his time spent around the Fort Peck Theatre where his family was actively involved as volunteers. He loved watching his sisters Alexa and Christen and many friends perform on the Fort Peck stage. Jake played the role of The Real Professor Plum in Fort Peck’s production of CLUE. Jake’s family and friends established a theatre scholarship endowment in his memory which awards up to two $1,000 scholarships each year for undergraduate students pursuing a career in the Fine Arts....
