The local barbers were pretty busy keeping up with business and one local, Darrell Brenna, remembers it was a time where Glasgow had around 10 barbers keeping up.     The Valley County Commissioners held their first of many community meetings on Sept. 27, at the Valley County Courtroom for Glasgow residents and then traveled to Frazer and Lustre on Sept. 30, and then to Hinsdale on Oct. 1. These meetings were the first community meetings held throughout the county since 2022, since weather impeded the Commissioners to travel in 2023.     David James Renner, 78, passed away peacefully on Monday evening Sept. 30, 2024, at home with his loving wife by his side. David was born on April 28, 1946, to Irene Reinbold and Lloyd Renner in Glasgow, Mont. He was the oldest of three siblings. Sightings of the famous actor were reported at several businesses, the airport and at a local hotel. The trip to Glasgow was short planned but got a lot of creative juices flowing for the actor Jon Voight and writer/director John Harrison.     In a regular City Council meeting on Aug. 19, the Glasgow City Council introduced and offered for adoption the second reading of Ordinance No. 985 – an ordinance amending Chapter 4 of the Official Code of the City of Glasgow (CCG) to remove the License Requirement for Dancing in a Bar.     The Scottie football team opened up their 2024 season with a decisive road win in Shepherd Aug. 30. Glasgow downed the Mustangs 51-8 after the Scotties put up four touchdowns in the first quarter. The Scotties kept the Mustangs off the scoreboard until the fourth quarter.
