    John "Jack" Otto Rusher, age 85, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Oct. 13, 2024. He was born April 20, 1939, in Glasgow, Mont., to his loving parents John C. Rusher Jr. and Aileen S. (Christinson) Rusher, of Glasgow. Jack was a proud 1957 graduate of Glasgow High School, home of the Scotties. After high school Jack assisted a landscaper with various projects in the Glasgow area.   • Fire Crews Respond To Valley County Landfill Fire

    Glasgow/Long Run Fire Department was paged the night of Oct. 7, at 11:03 p.m., to a fire at the landfill in Glasgow. Upon arrival, heavy fire was observed back in the pit. Response included five fire trucks and eight fire department personnel while Saint Marie Fire Department assisted with bringing a water tender.     The Valley County Commissioners held their first of many community meetings on Sept. 27, at the Valley County Courtroom for Glasgow residents and then traveled to Frazer and Lustre on Sept. 30, and then to Hinsdale on Oct. 1.
