    Glasgow's first football win of the 2023 season was a momentous one as the Scotties posted their first win against the Malta Mustangs since 2016 with a 26-7 victory on Scottie Field Friday night. From the opening plays the game never lacked action though fans may have seen as much yellow – in the form of penalty flags – as they did red and blue on the field.     The Scottie volleyball team served up some intense action on the court this past week, splitting their conference games before dropping a match to Class A Glendive. The Scotties' record now sits at 4-1 in conference play, 5-3 overall. Glasgow took Wolf Point to five sets Sept. 21 on the road taking two sets to extra action but fell 25-27, 29-27, 25-23, 12-25, 9-15.     Both the boys and girls Scottie cross country teams claimed second place at the Havre Invitational Sept. 9. The Glasgow boys scored 44 points, finishing behind Havre's 31, and ahead of Harlem, 60; Fort Benton, 101.5, and Chinook, 134.
