FOR THE COURIER GLASGOW- Drew Henry was hired as the Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks Region 6 regional supervisor in northeast Montana, based out of the regional headquarters in Glasgow. Drew replaced Mark Sullivan, who recently retired after working 35 years with FWP, including six years as regional supervisor. Resilient friends, supporters and volunteers turned out to get in on the action. One thousand seedlings in the five different varieties of trees were handed out, again in record time. A citizen committee is in the process of being formed to address complaints about youths on dirt bikes disturbing the tranquility of homeowners north of Glasgow. Dirt bikers are a common sight in the undeveloped area between Airport and Skylark roads, and have been for decades, residents say. Saco native Andy George Beadle, 75, of Choteau finished living in his body on earth on April 28, 2021. As a man who meant so much to so many, he will live on through his children and grandchildren and in the memories and hearts of those who knew him. Since the publication of this story, the Valley County Health Department confirmed 11 more cases of COVID-19 in the county. As of Oct. 7, at 6 p.m., the County has 30 active cases, with 111 recovered for a total of 141 cases. Valley County reported its first COVID-19 related death on Oct. 6 stating that the deceased passed away on Sept. 24. The sixth annual Paint Run/Walk will be held Saturday, Aug. 8 starting at 9 a.m. The Run/Walk is a 2.5 mile untimed event highlighted by participants being sprayed with powdered paint at various points along the course. The Glasgow Recreation Department is moving forward with summer programs. Registration will begin on Monday, June 1, at 7 a.m. in the Civic Center gymnasium. The Glasgow City Council approved a series of spending resolutions during their regular city council meeting on Nov. 18. The resolutions were passed following a legally required public hearing to hear input from the public before spending the taxpayer money.
