The Glasgow School Board met in regular session on Nov. 13 and voted to appoint Ryan Fast to the open trustee position on the Glasgow School Board. He replaces Board Chair Angie Page who resigned at the end of October. Fast is not new as a school board trustee as he previously served six years on the Glasgow School Board before retiring in May 2024. Throughout the past few months, there has been a lot of construction activity at Hoyt Park, especially on the other side of the already ongoing project of the new swimming pool. Crews from Evergreen Skateparks broke ground on the city's new skatepark on Aug. 28, and finalized the project on Oct. 2. The park that had gravel and not much for shade will be sporting grass and trees by late summer. The Glasgow School board had a work session on May 28 to review four applicants to fill the Irle School principal position.
