Key findings in the report show that in 2010 around 85 percent of housing in Glasgow was built prior to 1976. The percentage of home ownership was also lower here than in the state and nation. Becky Erickson said she got there at 20 minutes to eight to be the first person to file for the Glasgow mayor's race. The Board of Valley County Commissioners approved the granting of $60,000 towards the repair of Skylark Road at its Sept. 16 meeting. Resigning one seat to take the mayor seat in Glasgow came with a quick raise of the hand and the swearing of an oath. Becky Erickson has now officially taken the title of mayor for the New Year. In Tuesday’s municipal elections, voters in Glasgow and Nashua decided to change the names at the top. Glasgow Mayor Dan Carney, looking for his third term, lost to Becky Erickson, an 18-year veteran of the Glasgow City Council. The vote was decisive, 724 to 519.
