The Glasgow Kiwanis Swim Team, hosting the Eastern Divisionals last weekend for the first time since 2007, qualified 32 individual swimmers and 12 relay teams for the state meet. Glasgow will be awash with young swimmers this weekend, when the Kiwanis Swim Team hosts the Eastern Montana Division Swim Meet for the first time since 2007. Somewhere between 600 and 800 people are expected for the two-day event this Saturday and Sunday, about 400 of them competitors hoping to qualify for the state meet Aug. 3-4 in Sidney. The most complete Glasgow Kiwanis swim team yet mustered enough strength for second place in Plentywood over the weekend. City employees discovered a mess at the Glasgow city pool last week. The Recreation Department secretary called police at about 6 a.m. on Tuesday, May 21, saying an employee just told her the pool had been “destroyed.” Officers found every light fixture in the building broken, 21 of them.
