    Valley County had a busy school election season, as four out of six school districts held elections. The Opheim and Lustre school districts did not have elections, due to the lack of candidates. Glasgow, Nashua, Hinsdale and Frazer voters did show up at the polls to decide on board of trustee members and levies. The results here are the unofficial counts that came in late Tuesday, May 6.     As the school year is coming closer to a close, schools are getting ready for their upcoming elections. School elections will be held on Tuesday, May 6. Nashua has two Board of Trustees positions on the ballot. Incumbents Joe Laumeyer and Ryan Williams will be running against newcomers Joel Novak and Ray Yoss. Williams has been a board member since 2008 and Laumeyer has been on the board for one term, since 2012. The positions are three-year terms.     It was a well researched decision for the Nashua School Board. While controversial to some of the parents and families involved, the final vote for a four-day school week came in on Tuesday, March 18.     Additional public input on changing to a four-day school week was received by the Nashua School Board at its regular meeting Monday, Jan. 20, in the Nashua School Library.     The three-way contest for one seat on the Glasgow School Board was settled Tuesday night. Mona Amundson was elected to a three-year term with 739 votes. Sarah Swanson had 418 votes and Rod Ost had 137. Voting was running high for this election. Forty-three percent of the 3,084 registered voters requested absentee ballots.
