    Last Saturday night I went to a dance at the Nashua Senior Citizen Center. The Cap Holter family provided the music. As I listened to the songs I thought how great it was that Cap Holter, who is in his 90s, was joined by his daughter, Joyce, who played the guitar and sang, and his son, Curt, who played his fiddle. Cap played his accordion with an ease gained over the years. Although there weren’t many people there, you could tell they all enjoyed the music.     A Veterans Day ceremony will take place at the Glasgow Civic Center on Tuesday, Nov. 11, starting at 10:30 a.m. This year Vietnam veterans will be honored, as it is the 50th year since the end of the Vietnam War. WWII veterans recently honored with the Legion of Honor Award from France also will be mentioned, this coming 70 years after their involvement in D-Day. This year's speaker will be VFW State Cmdr.     Evan Joseph Granrud, 85, passed away on Friday, April 4, 2014, due to natural causes. A celebration of Evan's life was on April 8, at Bell Tower Funeral Home in Post Falls, Idaho, with Pastor David Ophus officiating.     Everybody at Nemont Manor enjoyed the comfortable wooden bench at the end of the sidewalk, but it was getting weathered. People were afraid it would fall apart, and that was a shame, since it was a memorial to a resident, Martha Luck. Gordon Olson, a Nemont Manor resident since 2007, decided to rescue the bench.
