On the afternoon of Saturday, May 2, 2020, at 2:30 p.m., Thomas "Buddy" Edward Mills III passed away peacefully in his sleep at Frances Mahon Deaconess Hospital in Glasgow, Mont. He was 83 years old. On Oct. 6, 1936, Buddy was born to Tom and Silver (Maguire) Mills in Helena, Mont. The Mills family owned the Montana State Nursery, and he grew up learning and doing much of its operations. The residents of the Glasgow School District delivered a decisive victory to its students, teachers, staff and administration in the vote for the school’s general operating levy on May 5. With a vote margin of 214 votes, the district’s levy passed with 1,049 voting yes and 835 voting no.
