In 2004, a group of teenagers started a goal of creating a skatepark in order to pursue their passions in the sport. A board was created, and with the assistance of parents and other involved community members, the park was created on the Fairgrounds property. In 2007 a concrete pad had been poured and ramps were installed. The High School Ice Dawgs returned to the rink for the first time this season at home with two games against the Salmon (Idaho) Rapids. Donna Mae Tihista, 89, the daughter of Ingvald and Magda (Hartvikson) Leraas, was born May 2, 1933, in Knox, N.D. At the age of one and half she traveled with her parents to their new home 26 miles north of Nashua, Mont. The final repair bill for the Corps' Omaha District totaled $360 million. Levee rehabilitation work came to $160 million and repairs to damages at the six main-stem dam projects totaled $200 million. Having a presence within the community since 1958, the local Soroptimist International of the Americas (SIA) group has changed its name to Caring Hands, Inc. The VALCO Pool Campaign received a $200,000 donation from the Flora A. Coghlan Family Trust, in memory of Tom Coghlan, bringing the total raised to $2,797,920 as of July 31. The Flora A. Coghlan Family Trust donated $50,000 in 2021 and so this brings their total donated to $250,000. Robert "Bob" Harold Heikens, 92, passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2022, in an automobile accident outside of the town of Nashua, Mont.
