Niko Jondahl, 20 of Glasgow, received a sentence of 60 years with 45 deferred Sept. 4, from District Judge Yvonne Laird after being convicted of sexual intercourse without consent. According to the Valley County Clerk and Recorder's Office as of Monday, Aug. 13, Luke Strommen had removed his name from the running for Valley County Sheriff. Strommen was unable to be reached for comment as to why he pulled out of the race. On Friday, June 8, and Saturday, June 9, the Glasgow Police Department and the Valley Veterinary Clinic will be hosting the annual program for animal licensing and administration of rabies shots at the Southside Fire Hall.
