During the Glasgow City Council meeting on Aug. 1, the Council gave final approval for an annual two percent increase in water and sewer rates for city customers through September 2027. The initial increase will see the base rate of residential water go up to $28.71 and the sewer base rate will increase to $45.75. Last week Katie Knierim and Kevin Miller donated $25,000 to the Valley County Community Pool Campaign making the total raised $2,518,028, just over the $2.5 million mark, of the $3,304,000 goal needed to build a new pool in Glasgow.
