Sarah Swanson had 418 votes and Rod Ost had 137. Voting was running high for this election. Forty-three percent of the 3,084 registered voters requested absentee ballots. Glasgow Police Department Dear Editor, In my opinion, the city police department is not doing their job. I formed this opinion based on a theft of some of my property. This is in reference to a theft I reported. One day, a few months ago my boat, trailer and 4-wheeler came up missing. I called dispatch to report this. A police officer came to my house here on the south side of Glasgow. I gave the officer a list of the items missing. I also told him I had an idea who took my stuff. The vote was 1,151 to 945. The Glasgow City Council met for their regular council meeting on Feb. 21 in the Council Chambers. Regular business was voted on including payment of claims in the amount of $131,839.68; payment of Valley Court Apartment claims in the amount of $1,709.37 and approval of the Feb. 6 regular council meeting minutes. There was a huge crowd in the public sitting area of the council chambers as the Siding 45 Skatepark committee and supporters were in attendance to discuss working with the city in order to find a location for a future city skatepark....

Cecil Floyd Dalby passed away after a short illness on Thursday, Jan. 12, 2023. Cecil was born in Glasgow, Mont., March 13, 1941, to Emil and Alma (Frederick) Dalby. He was the seventh child out of eight children. In July of 1963 Cecil decided to forgo his senior year of high school to join the Army and was stationed in Fort Carson, Colo. until July 9, 1965. 1 Years Ago Wednesday, January 23, 2013 City employees will receive a raise this year, after the Glasgow City Council approved a collective bargaining agreement with Teamsters Local No. 2. The $.25 per hour increase was also extended to non-bargaining city employees. Police did not request a raise this year.
