When an event reaches 25 years it is commonly referred to as that event's "Silver Jubilee". It's only natural to want something special to happen when celebrating a quarter century of growth and sustained success. That something special happened in 2024. The Milk River Catfish Classic celebrated its 25th tournament in simply incredible fashion. It was May of 2000 when two young college kids overwhelmed an inaugural tournament field of just 12 teams to claim bragging rights and put the Cat Classi...

Anna Brown and Blake Ozark kicked off the events with a trick riding demonstration thrilling the crowd with their daring acrobatics. Local favorite Chisolm Christensen kept the crowd going by winning the saddle bronc riding with a score of 61, before heading downtown where he continued to entertain crowds with a...

Our visit was packed with numerous great experiences. We want to give special thanks to Sterling Carroll for hosting us, Terry White for being our local guide, and the Christensen family for teaching us some of the work required for calves. We were made to feel at home on Mr. Carroll's beautiful property. Terry shared some of... Full story

It was all thrills, spills and chills at the 35th annual Milk River Cowboys Association Rodeo held last Thursday in Hinsdale. It was also perfect weather with no threat of rain. We had a southwesterly breeze blowing which blew the bugs back to Saco where they belong but the announcers, Myron Malnaa and Chris Christensen along with timers Tanya Funk and Jan Marshal got a tad-bit choked-up by the dust created in the arena. There was a near record crowd in attendance but the competitors in a...
