As I'd predicted, I have not resorted to making daily notes of my accomplishments this past week. I do know myself a little. So, as usual, I'm winging it with this column. The reigning State C Champion North Country Lady Mavericks basketball team won both games in their opening weekend in Miles City. The team defeated the Garfield County (Jordan) Lady Mustangs 60-17 on Friday, Dec. 1, and the Melstone Lady Broncs 46-27 on Saturday, Dec. 2. The Scottie girls basketball team lost 47-40 in their season opener on the road against the Class A Glendive Red Devils. Glasgow’s boys basketball team fell in their season opener, dropping a 54-48 contest to the Class A Red Devils in Glendive Dec. 1. The Scotties fell behind 19-9 at the end of one and trailed 38-23 at the half. Glasgow battled back in the second half, outscoring Glendive 15-8 in the third and 10-8 in the fourth quarter. The North Country Mavericks basketball team lost their two first games of the season as they fell to the Jordan Mustangs on Friday, December 1, and the Melstone Broncs on Saturday, Dec. 2.
