The St. Raphael’s Christian Service put on their annual free winter wear give away at the St. Raphael’s gymnasium on Nov. 16. This event allowed community residents to stock up on necessary winter wear before the change in seasons. By the end of the all-day event, over 200 coats and several hundred other winter gear was distributed. In October the Montana Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) installed a new permanent air quality monitor in Glasgow, expanding the availability of relevant, valuable and timely air quality information to Valley County residents. Robert Molvig, of Tampico, Mont., passed peacefully Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2024. Besides his parents, Agnes and Chris Molvig, he was preceded in death by his two older sisters, Dorothy Kolstad and Carol Kreer. His surviving siblings are Alyce Tracy, Charles, Donna Whittle, Kenneth, and Rick. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Services are planned for late Spring 2025. Evelyn "Lyn" (Billman) Lambert, 83, of Fort Peck, Mont., went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, Nov. 21, 2024, in Billings, Mont. Evelyn Shirley Billman was born in Allentown, Pa., on Jan. 8, 1941, to Claude and Eleanor (Young) Billman. She married James Lambert on Nov. 9, 1961. They lived in Florida and Pennsylvania before moving to Montana in 1975. In 1979, they purchased a cabin on Fort Peck Reservoir which would become their home for the rest of their lives, having been married... Full story
Robert "Robbie" Lee Carpenter, 65 years old, passed away peacefully at his home, Warren Group Home on Sunday, Nov. 17, 2024. The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) and its partners, Sletten Construction and Morrison-Maierle, replaced eight timber bridges during the 2024 construction season through the Timber Bridges-Glasgow Area project. A total of 15 timber bridges have been replaced in the past two years as part of this effort.
