Lately my column has only been printed every other week. I could get used to only writing (blathering?) twice a month. Is that considered bi-weekly or bi-monthly? I didn't know, so I looked it up. It seems either term would work. Both mean "every other" or "twice each" month or week. That can be very confusing. The English language is messed up. Either way, I only get a check once a month (and that goes into the bank for the grands). So there's my nugget of good information for you this week....

The North Country Mavericks claimed second place at the Eastern C Divisional Volleyball Tournament held in Sidney last weekend. North Country started the tournament with a loss against the Circle Wildcats. The Mavericks moved into the backside of the bracket where they defeated the Scobey Spartans and the Plentywood Wildcats. The 2023 volleyball season ended for the Glasgow Scotties in Malta this past weekend at the Northern B Divisional Tournament. The Scotties took a loss in the first round to the Fairfield Eagles before falling to the Wolf Point Wolves in loser-out action. Glasgow lost 8-25, 13-25, 16-25 to eventual-Divisional champ Fairfield Thursday. The high school Ice Dawgs dominated in their first doubleheader of the 2023-24 season, bringing home two wins from Billings Nov. 4. Glasgow took game one by a score of 6-2 and owned the second game 8-1.
