    Since the publication of this story, the Valley County Health Department confirmed 11 more cases of COVID-19 in the county. As of Oct. 7, at 6 p.m., the County has 30 active cases, with 111 recovered for a total of 141 cases. Valley County reported its first COVID-19 related death on Oct. 6 stating that the deceased passed away on Sept. 24. The county cited “jurisdiction issues” with the state Department of Public Health and Human Services for the delay in reporting the death.     After first being introduced in the Senate in 2017 and in the House of Representatives in 2019, Savanna’s Act is on its way to the President’s desk to be signed into law. They said that although it isn't a 100 percent guarantee that property would be devalued with city chickens, but it is a very high probability.
