The meeting was called to order by Jadeen. Maddy started off by reading about 4-H life skills. The 4-H members succeeded in the fair and enjoyed rides. All the 4-H members received gold seals on their 4-H books. Jadeen did a presentation on his Washington, D.C., trip and he shared information on everywhere he went. NDHP Trooper Myles Sundby, whose hometown is Glasgow, was recently named the 2023 Trooper of the Year by the North Dakota Motor Carriers Association (NDMCA). Sundby serves as a motor carrier operations trooper and is stationed in Grand Forks. Trooper Sundby graduated from Minot State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice. Sept 27, 2024 The Lustre Jr. High Volleyball Lions hosted the Frontier School Jr High Volleyball Mustangs on Sept 21 in their last home game with the song "God's Not Dead" greeting fans. The Lions took the set 25-17, 25-17 (with the teams tying repeatedly along the way), and 15-3. The Jamboree teams split their games. The 61st annual Saco Fun Days Labor Day celebration kicked off the evening of Aug. 30, with a community Potluck put on by Robert Plouffe. Close to 70 people showed up for the annual Friday evening dinner and about 25 assorted dishes were brought in by various community members. There were little to no leftovers by the time everyone had finished eating. After stomachs were full, attendees made their way over to Miller Park for the cornhole tournament. Glasgow's cross country hit two meets last week, staying close for the Frazer Invitational Sept. 26 then traveling across the state to Missoula for the Mountain West Classic in Missoula Sept. 28. The Scottie football team fell 48-26 in Malta Sept. 27 in a tightly fought battle. The Mustangs took the lead early in the game but the Scotties answered several times throughout to stay close until late in play. A late touchdown from the Mustangs secured the win over the Scotties. David James Renner, 78, passed away peacefully on Monday evening Sept. 30, 2024, at home with his loving wife by his side. David was born on April 28, 1946, to Irene Reinbold and Lloyd Renner in Glasgow, Mont. He was the oldest of three siblings.
