    For the first time in 24 years, the Scotties girls basketball team is headed to the State tournament. The last Glasgow's girls team to make the final cut was in 1997.     After an upset loss in the championship game of the District 3C tournament, the Lions of Lustre Christian entered the Eastern C Divisional Tournament as the second seed. Lustre Christian battled through the brackets from the championship side to the consolation game to a challenge game for a trip to state.     A young North Country boys basketball team came on strong at the end of the season, earning themselves a trip to the Eastern Divisional tournament in Sidney.     The stretch run is upon us! With only three weekends remaining, the Highlanders split up this past weekend at the “Border Brawl” in Plentywood and at the Montana Middle School State Wrestling Championships in Lewistown. It was another banner weekend for our GWC kids of all ages. In Plentywood, we entered an event-best 35 wrestlers. The small inter-divisional meet featured 167 kids from eight local clubs.     The PeeWee Ice Dawgs saw their season come to end at the State Tournament in Missoula this past weekend with a third place finish. Glasgow went 1-2-1 on the weekend. Glasgow ended their game against Flathead in the opening round on Friday knotted at 5 on the scoreboard. They then fell to the Billings-1 by a score of 2-0 Saturday before losing 3-0 to Billings-2 later that day. Sunday they downed the Havre Ice Hawks 8-2.     Glasgow’s Bantam Ice Dawgs traded 5-3 final scores with the Williston Coyotes in a pair of games on Sunday at the Valley Event Center with the visitors taking the first game. In the first of two non-conference games the Coyotes took a 3-2 lead in the first period. Williston scored the first two before Glasgow answered.     The Nashua girls basketball team saw their 2021-2022 season come to an end at the Eastern C Divisional tournament in Sidney this past weekend. The Porcupines fell to the MonDak Thunder 40-32 Thursday evening in a tough fought game. The loss sent them to loser-out action Friday afternoon against Froid/Lake where the Redhawks came out on top of a 56-34 contest.
