    The Glasgow Ice Dawgs brought home the second-place trophy from the Big Sky High School State Hockey Tournament in Bozeman this past weekend, as well as three All-State honors and a scholarship. Glasgow entered the tournament as the number three seed and made their way to the championship game against the Missoula Bruins with an undefeated record in tournament play.     When teams and coaches talk about peaking right before postseason, rarely does anyone do it in as dramatic a fashion as the 2022-23 Scottie girls basketball team did this year. After finishing the regular season with a a 3-5, 3-15 overall record, Glasgow more than doubled their wins in the postseason.     Wow. Statement made. GWC is peaking as we head into the final month of the season! On Feb. 25, Highlanders headed 70 miles east to the Annual Poplar Invitational. At the end of the day; 20 Individual Champions were crowned and 45 found their way into a top three finish. Our overall individual record was 100 wins and 54 losses with 78 pins (41 pins against).     Glasgow’s Bantam Ice Dawgs hosted the Billings Bulls Feb. 18 and 19 at the Valley Event Center. The Dawgs won their first matchup 7-1 on Saturday and battled back from a 4-1 deficit Sunday to end the game with a 4-4 tie. Brody Hansen put the Dawgs on the scoreboard first Saturday, scoring 5:15 into the game with help from Halle Hunter.     The Montana Community Foundation, Inc. (MCF) announces the opening of a grant cycle to benefit communities and residents of Valley County. Grants will be made from the Valley County Masonic Endowment Fund, established at MCF by the Nemont Manor Foundation, Inc. Grant applications will be accepted through March 31.     Glasgow Elks Lodge #1922 was recently the recipient of another grant from the Elks National Foundation (ENF). The Lodge applied for and received a $2,000 Spotlight Grant.     The Town Pump Charitable Foundation is offering $1,000 grants to public libraries in Montana to help fund summer youth-reading programs. Last year the Town Pump Charitable Foundation awarded 100 of the $1,000 grants statewide as part of its Keep Kids Reading grant program.     Veterans in suicidal crisis are now able to go to any VA or non-VA health care facility for emergency health care at no cost – including inpatient or crisis residential care for up to 30 days and outpatient care for up to 90 days.
