Motorists driving into Montana from Canada, 10 miles north of Opheim, will be greeted by a brand new highway sign in the spring. The old signs welcoming visitors to Montana, which feature a big blue circle in the center with mountains in the background, were designed in the 1980s and will be replaced. One man's argument over the basic right to travel landed him in jail for 14 days this past week. The Glasgow Courier previously reported about Terry Lee Brauner, or as he prefers to be known as Terry-Lee, and his argument against city, county and state officials on his position that the government has no right to require a driver's license. Whether the Nashua School have a four-day or a five-day school week was first addressed two years ago. But because of the superintendent at that time leaving and a new superintendent coming in, the board voted to table the issue. Questions between bigger business and a healthy environment are at much of the controversy of the Keystone XL Pipeline that would come through Valley County and travel all the way to Nebraska and eventually the Gulf of Mexico. Ray Allen Schneider, 74, of Glasgow passed away from natural causes on Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014, at the Frances Mahon Deaconess Hospital in Glasgow. He was born in Glasgow to Walter F. and Evelyn F. Glasgow wrestlers are hitting the mark at the right time of the season. The squad competed in the Malta on Friday and Saturday. In the mixer on Friday, Glasgow had a strong showing in which their wrestlers went a combined 14-5 with Cody King, Kevin Frigon and Tanner Roness all going 3-0. The Glasgow Scotties hit seven 3-pointers, four from senior Lane Herbert alone, as they avenge a loss against Glendive at home on Jan. 30 with a 75-59 win.
