The North Country Lady Mavericks volleyball team's season came to an end at the State C Tournament last Saturday, Nov. 16. The Mavericks were up 13-11 on the Bridger Scouts in the first set in the opening round of the elimination bracket, but the Scouts went on a 3-1 run to end the game. The North Country Mavericks and Lady Mavericks went to Scobey on Saturday, and took on their Spartan counterparts on Feb. 3. It was their second meeting of the 2023-24 season. The Lady Mavericks were able to defeat the Lady Spartans 47-23, and extended their win-streak to 44 games. The Mavericks fell 71-36 to the Spartans.
